US Department of Justice Reentry Site – A major clearinghouse for information on reentry. The publications section lists a lot of good reports. Also links for people in reentry to find resources.

National Hire Network – A national organization working to improve employment opportunities for people in reentry. Check out their web site and get on their email list.

ExOffenderReentry.com and Jist Publishing – Companies that sell job search and employment related materials for employment program staff working with people in reentry.

American Correctional Association – Publishes a wide range of materials related to people that are currently incarcerated and people in reentry.

National Transitional Jobs Network – An organization focused on the employment program model called transitional jobs which has been of great help in moving people from reentry to employment.

National Youth Employment Coalition – The major clearinghouse for information on youth employment including but not limited to reentry youth.

National Institute of Corrections – Web site with a wide variety of information. NIC conducts training so people can become a certified ex-offender workforce development specialist.

Public Private Ventures – Publishes reports about best practices in reentry employment programs, mentoring people in reentry, job search best practices and other workforce related topics.

Legal Action Center – Information on policy, advocacy and resources related to removing systemic barriers to employment for people in reentry and employment discrimination.

Center For Law and Social Policy – Puts out reports and research related to best practices for employment of people in poverty and reentry.

Office of Disability Employment Policy – The major clearinghouse for government information on employment of people with disabilities. Check out the link to the Job Accommodation Network for information on how people with specific types of disabilities can be accommodated in the workplace.

Community Resources for Justice – Publishes research related to reentry including a report on employers perspectives on hiring people in reentry.

Urban Institute – Publishes a wide variety of information related to employment, policy and model programs serving people that have been incarcerated. Some of the research by Harry Holzer may be of particular interest. Google his name for other things he has written.

National Reentry Resource Center – Lists reentry programs by state and also features programs with more detailed information. You can have your program listed. Has extensive document collection for download. Has a free email newsletter.

MDRC – A major evaluator of employment programs including those serving people in reentry.

Federal Bonding Program – Organization that has resources for the bonding of people in reentry.

Self-Reinvention – A non-profit proof-of-concept organization with a long-term vision of facilitating the implementation and operation of replicable entrepreneurial business incubators in communities throughout the United States.

Job Accommodation Network – Facilitates the employment and retention of workers with disabilities by providing information on job accommodations, entrepreneurship, and related subjects.

California Reentry Council Network – Bringing community collaborations together to support successful reentry.

Alameda County Reentry Network – Purpose is to reduce recidivism amoung the formerly incarcerated in order to increase public safety.

San Francisco Reentry Council – Coordinates local efforts to support adults exiting San Francisco County Jail, San Francisco juvenile justice out-of-home placements, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation facilities, and the United States Federal Bureau of Prison facilities.

Marin County Re-entry Taskforce – is a collaborative between the Marin Employment Connection, the Marin County Probation Department and community-based organizations that provide resources to ex-offenders.
